In 2001, we noticed poor children coming into the more affluent towns in the Upper Highway area and eating from the dustbins. We discovered that these children came from some of the poorest families in Lower Molweni. On going down to Lower Molweni, we found an area where most of the poor families lived. One family in particular drew our attention. They were a family of 8, living in a 1 room shack. We managed to get support to build this family a home, with the understanding that this home would also serve as a Childcare Base for destitute children from the surrounding area. Over the past 20 years, we have utilised this base together with May and her family, to reach out and care for the poor families in the area. ✝️🕊 We appreciate your prayers and support for this ministry🙏
